Come out to the Wheat Street Gardens tomorrow 9/16 from 3p – 6p. It’s Truly Living Well’s awesome innovative urban garden sited on the ruins of a housing project. COME VISIT TOMORROW for their Jubilee! It’s a celebration thrown to conclude their Urban Farm summer camp program and Chickin Feed will be on site for some fun & games with the fun folks from CAMP TLW!

FARM GRUB Revue Performance Troupe – that’s a wrap!

The inaugural year of the FARM GRUB Revue Performance Troupe is coming to a close today. For the 2011-2012 school year, Chickin Feed (Mother Hen, Chirpin’ Chick and Drama Chick) have produced an after school enrichment program full of healthy snacks and song & dance. Fortunate to enroll some pretty enthusiastic & talented kids in grades 1-4, we have practiced and performed all around the community – building healthy habits, one song at a time. We performed at the Farmers Market, Fall Festival, Holiday Festival, On the Radio! (The Kids are Alright on am1690), Under the Gold Dome of the Capitol – flash mob style and we are wrapping up the year with a “Reality TV Show” called FARM GRUB takes on AMERICA!

The kiddos got the chance to record the awesome song Power Me Up for a real song that will be published & downloadable soon!

So many thanks to Amy Handler (Drama Chick), Katherine Moore (Chirpin’ Chick) and all the FARM GRUB performers! YOU ROCK.
